| Develop stress design basis, critical line list, prepare stress sketches, prepare & resolve stress models and its subsequent management in assistance with stress lead engineer, which satisfy all requirements of the Basis of Design, Statutory laws, Codes and Standards. Should be capable to take overall responsibility for all the stress work on the project. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Stress Lead Engineer in the planning and development of the Stress discipline engineering documents. Preparation of design basis, critical line list, prepare & resolve stress models, supporting, technical bid analysis of springs, bellows, special supports, etc. Ensure technical adequacy of engineering and design consistent with economy, good engineering practice, safety in design and specific requirements of the project. Work in close coordination with civil/structural group to pass on and maintain information regarding loads & supports. He must also ensure that the information is well documented & of high quality as per project standards. Evaluate and pursue design changes initiated within the discipline and those initiated by others. He is also responsible to highlight the same to Stress Lead/Discipline Manager which could be considered a change order to the Project Manager. Ensure compliance with the prescribed Company, Clients and other Standards and local Statutory Regulations. Assist the Stress Lead to estimate and forecast man-hours and resource required to perform the work / balance work and keep Discipline Manager / Project Manager informed well in advance. Provide construction and commissioning support for the project. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time. |
