| Develop Support design basis, preparation of standard supports, design and prepare special support sketches, review and issue of support drawings and subsequent management in assistance with lead support engineer, which satisfy all requirements of the Basis of Design, Statutory laws, Codes and Standards. Should be capable to take overall responsibility for all the support work on the project. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Lead Support Engineer in the planning and development of the support engineering documents. Preparation of Support design basis, Support standards incorporating project specific requirements, Support calculation, support MTO and Vessel clip information. Design and issue of special supports with co-ordination with stress and structural group. Overall co-ordination with Area designers (Piping Design and Supports) Ensure technical adequacy of engineering and design consistent with economy, good engineering practice, safety in design and specific requirements of the project. Work in close coordination with civil/structural group to pass on and maintain information regarding loads & additional structural steel and plinths. Must also ensure that the information is well documented & of high quality as per project standards. Evaluate and pursue design changes initiated within the discipline and those initiated by others. Also to be responsible to highlight the same to Support Lead/Discipline Manager which could be considered a change order to the Project Manager. Ensure compliance with the prescribed Company, Clients and other Standards and local Statutory Regulations. Assist the support Lead to estimate and forecast man-hours and resource required to perform the work / balance work and keep Discipline Manager / Project Manager informed well in advance. Provide construction and commissioning support for the project. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time. |
