A major multinational organization has an immediate opening for a Contracts Counsel at its Dubai offices. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for a progress in their career. The jobholder would:
- Provide legal services related to customer contracts within the area of responsibility.
- Review, draft and modifyplex customer contracts toply withpany contracting guidelines and prepare associated documentation and advice.
- Update contracts database with entries for work performed and review status; prepare risk assessments and rmendations regardingplex contractual risk issues.
-municate and coordinate with division personnel regarding contracting policies, procedures, and processes.
- Act as liaison between the customer and other functional areas (such as HS&E, IP, Risk Management, Finance or Tax) as required.
- Conduct contracts training forpany sales and marketing personnel and other departments.
- Provide training and guidance to newly hired Contracts Specialists.
- Assist in the preparation of area and regional budgets and participate in quarterly and annual planning processes.
- Provide coaching to other members of the contracts team.
- Handle special projects, as assigned. Skills

- Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree or Law degree, preferred.
- 5+ years of related experience is needed, preferably in contracts review and negotiation or related legal background including a minimum of 3+ years experience in contracts review and negotiation.
- Experience in reviewing and negotiating highlyplex contracts and master service contracts.
- Experience in promoting a Business Partner approach with operations.
- Significant knowledge of indemnity requirements and limitations.
- Strong working knowledge of contract law and related legal concepts including practical application in a business environment for both US and across various regional jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of business and cultural environment and customs across assigned region.
