| Our client is a international oil and gas EPC contractor. They require a Construction Planning / Scheduling Manager to work on a large scale site in Doha, Qatar. This open position will be leading a team of planning engineers during the construction phase at site for the Offsites & Utilities element of the project. Primary Responsibilities: Work Processes / Procedures/ Systems Look-ahead Planning Promote Schedule Awareness Supv. Planning Support Critical Path Analysis Risk Analysis & Mitigation System Sequence & T/O Planning Manpower & Density Analysis Progress Analysis & Reporting The Primary Duties for this role are to include but not to be limited to the following:- Provide HSE leadership and lead weekly team toolbox discussions Set department priorities & distribute workload to align with team strengths Review & validate schedules, forecast integrity, and status methods Facilitate weekly site Mgt. schedule reviews - priorities, status, look-ahead, and risk Interface with craft & site supv. to maintain risk awareness & identify potential impacts Insure that the site team is fully aware of long & short term priorities Maintain a strong site team awareness of system turnover sequence Audit department spread sheet integrity & report accuracy on a high frequency Identify employee strengths & weaknesses, and implement a mentoring structure Align Dept. responsibilities & tasks with employee strengths Insure that project & Mgt. feedback & reporting requirements are adjusted to needs Insure that Target resources reconcile to Q-Trax and progress reports by WBS & system Insure that a professional & productive work environment is maintained by the Dept. Insure that Construction & Commissioning plan & schedule work as one integrated team Integrate site scheduling activities with the overall project scheduling program The successful candidate will be a Planning/Scheduling Manager with a strong background in Planning and specific experience in Construction and Commissioning. The Scheduling Manager will report directly into the Project Controls Manager and with a matrix functional reporting line into the Chief Planning Engineer in London.
